Over 880 Shooters Participated in North Zone Trials; Maharashtra Trials to Be Held at MLWB Shooting Range, Mumbai, on November 12–13
Mumbai, November 2025: After a resounding success in North India, where 880 young shooters showcased their skills at the Ghaziabad trials, the School Shooting Premier League (SSPL) is set to bring its next chapter to Maharashtra. The much-awaited Maharashtra Zone Trials will take place on 12th and 13th November 2025 at the MLWB Shooting Range, Dadar West, Prabhadevi, Mumbai.
The event will unite talented student shooters from across the state, giving them a national-level platform to display precision, focus, and sportsmanship.
The North India trials saw enthusiastic participation from schools across Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, and Uttarakhand — marking it as one of the largest school-level shooting competitions in the region. The impressive turnout underscored the growing popularity of shooting as a youth sport and reinforced SSPL’s mission to nurture emerging talent through structured, competitive opportunities.
With its Maharashtra debut, SSPL continues its nationwide effort to identify and develop young shooters while promoting values of discipline, concentration, and excellence among students.
Deepak Srivastav, Co-founder of SSPL, said:
“The enthusiasm and discipline shown by students during the North India trials have set a strong benchmark for the League. SSPL is not just a competition but a platform that provides young shooters with the right exposure and a pathway to pursue the sport seriously. We’re confident that Maharashtra will carry forward this momentum and inspire many more to join the sport.”
Ayush Yadav, Founder of SSPL, added:
“The response from the North India Zone was phenomenal, proving that school-level sports like shooting can inspire confidence, focus, and national pride. We’re excited to bring the same energy and opportunities to Maharashtra and look forward to discovering the state’s next generation of champions.”
The Maharashtra trials will feature multiple shooting disciplines — including 10m Air Rifle and 10m Air Pistol — across U-15 and U-19 categories for both boys and girls. Over 250 students are expected to participate, joined by parents, coaches, educators, and sports professionals.
Alongside the main competition, SSPL will also host interactive sessions on shooting techniques, sports safety, and mental conditioning, giving participants valuable insights into franchise-based team selections, sponsorship opportunities, and mentorship programs.
Top shooters from the Maharashtra trials will qualify for the Final League Round, leading up to the SSPL Main Event scheduled for early 2026. The League’s expansion into Maharashtra marks another milestone in SSPL’s vision to build India’s largest school-level shooting ecosystem, with upcoming events planned across other major cities.
