FHRAI and Jiva Ayurveda, with AYUSH Ministry Support, Host ‘Harit Yoga’ to Promote Wellness and Sustainability

New Delhi, 19 June 2025: In a step towards fostering holistic well-being and environmental consciousness, the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), in collaboration with Jiva Ayurveda and with the support of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, organised a special edition of ‘Harit Yoga’ at Jiva Public School, Faridabad.

Held early in the morning from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM, the event welcomed over 60 participants, including students, yoga practitioners, wellness advocates, and hospitality professionals. The guided yoga session featured calming asanas and breathing techniques, designed to promote mindfulness, physical vitality, and a deeper sense of connection with nature.

A standout element of the event was the symbolic plantation drive—each participant received a sapling to plant, underlining the event’s central theme: that wellness practices like yoga go hand-in-hand with caring for the planet. The initiative beautifully captured Harit Yoga’s philosophy—health and sustainability in harmony.

Mr. Madhusudan Chauhan, CEO of Jiva Ayurveda, highlighted the synergy between ancient wellness sciences and modern lifestyle needs:

“Ayurveda and Yoga are among India’s most profound gifts to the world. Through Harit Yoga, we’re encouraging a return to a healthier, more sustainable life. We’re delighted to collaborate with FHRAI in this shared mission.”

Ms. Payal Swami, Assistant Secretary General, FHRAI, echoed this message:

“In the hospitality industry, the pace is relentless, and self-care often takes a backseat. Harit Yoga is a reminder to slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and care for the environment. We are proud to champion initiatives that integrate wellness into daily life.”

Key FHRAI officials, including Mr. Rajeev Verma (AGM Finance), Mr. Girish (Manager Finance), and Mr. Vineet Kapoor (Senior Manager, MRC), also actively participated, reflecting FHRAI’s internal commitment to well-being and environmental stewardship.

The event concluded with a collective sense of rejuvenation and purpose. Encouraged by the enthusiastic response, FHRAI pledged to expand the Harit Yoga initiative across more educational institutions and hospitality venues in India, strengthening the bond between personal health, sustainability, and community well-being.
