New York: Actress and Human Rights Ambassador Sheena Chohan delivered a compelling address at the United Nations during the annual United for Human Rights Conference, calling for constitutional awareness and human rights education to become an essential part of every Indian student’s learning journey.
Appearing through a special video presentation displayed on two giant screens at the UN, Chohan emphasized that knowledge of fundamental rights empowers citizens and strengthens democracy. Her speech highlighted the importance of making constitutional literacy a practical component of India’s education system.
During the event, Sheena Chohan was honoured with the Human Rights Hero Award in recognition of her efforts to spread awareness about human rights and equality to more than 120 million people worldwide.
