Kolkata, 28 October 2025: The All India Budo Shotokan Karate Association (AIBSKA) – Japan Shotokan Karate Association (JSKA) HQ India – held a press conference at the Press Club, Kolkata, to officially announce India’s national karate team for the JSKA World Championship 2025, scheduled to take place at the Ehime Prefectural Budokkan, Matsuyama, Japan, from November 1–3, 2025.
India’s Representation on the Global Stage
The conference was addressed by Shihan Tirthankar Nandy (7th Dan, Japan), Founder and Director of AIBSKA–JSKA India, alongside senior instructors, athletes, and dignitaries from the sports and martial arts fraternity.
Shihan Nandy emphasized that this year’s championship will witness participation from over 34 nations across six continents, highlighting the global scale and competitive spirit of the event.
AIBSKA’s Legacy in Promoting Traditional Karate
For nearly two decades, AIBSKA–JSKA India has proudly represented the nation in numerous international championships across South America, Europe, and Asia. The association continues to promote traditional karate-do and nurture young athletes from diverse and humble backgrounds, helping them achieve excellence at the world level.
