After a phenomenal run at the box office, Windows Productions’ Raktabeej 2 is now all set to reach an even wider audience with its digital premiere on ZEE5. The action-packed thriller, directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, and starring Abir Chatterjee, Mimi Chakraborty, Victor Banerjee, Seema Biswas, Ankush Hazra and Koushani Mukjerjee has been hailed as one of the biggest Bengali blockbusters of 2025.
Speaking about the film’s successful journey and its OTT release, Nandita Roy said,
“The response to Raktabeej 2 has been overwhelming. Watching audiences fill theatres and embrace this story with such passion has been our biggest reward. With the OTT release, we are thrilled that the film will now travel and reach viewers across the world. It’s a story that deserves that larger reach.”
Shiboprosad Mukherjee added,
“Every film we make is a reflection of our culture, our people, and the emotions that connect us. Raktabeej 2 was crafted as a cinematic experience, but it also has the soul of a story that resonates universally. The OTT premiere allows us to share that energy and intensity with millions who couldn’t watch it in theatres. We are truly grateful for the love the film continues to receive.”
Veteran actress Seema Biswas, who plays a pivotal role in the film, shared her excitement about the film’s OTT release, “Working on Raktabeej 2 was a deeply fulfilling experience. I generally refrain from watching my own films as I am afraid to see my own performance but because of the overall presentation, the direction by Nandita di and Shibu, the content of the film, I am excited to watch Raktabeej 2. The film’s emotional depth and powerful message stayed with me long after the shoot.”
With Raktabeej 2 roaring on both the big screen and now heading to OTT, Windows Productions once again proves its mastery in delivering content that combines strong storytelling, emotion, and mass appeal. The production house has also recently announced their next, a horror-comedy movie titled Bhanupriya Bhooter Hotel, leaving the audiences anticipated.
