She wrote a post about how the real Bollywood needs to step up its game while drawing a parallel comparison with the South industry. While her words had a different meaning and essence together, a section of netizens misunderstood her and started trolling her. Being the humble and sweet, giving person that she is, Rupali decided to issue an official clarification on the matter which certainly got all the positive responses. She wrote on her Instagram post clarifying the same and we quote,
“I think my latest post has hurt many’s sentiments …I apologise if I have unintentionally. A lot of my followers and bubbly fans are offended and sending me hate msges… Pls Dnt get me wrong…I am a South Indian (Telugu) myslef..and i do enjoy south filmsss…N what I said was in reference to the writers, producers n directors working over all ..to keep the secular process of filmmaking..for Hindi audience too..A lot of my fwolloers have unfollowed me in rage..I apologise sincerely..”
Well, kudos to Rupali for clarifying her whole stance on the matter. While she definitely deserves the right to express her opinion being a public figure herself, the fact that she put the sentiments of her fans and what they feel ahead of herself speaks volumes of the kind of person that she is.
